Smoked Paprika is a vibrant red spice made from dried peppers, typically of the Capsicum annuum variety. Unlike regular paprika, which is simply ground dried peppers, smoked paprika—also known as pimentón—is slow-smoked over Hickory wood. A little bit of the Smoked Paprika goes a long way as it is great for stews, with potatoes or even in dry rubs for any type of meat. Whether used as a rub or a garnish, smoked paprika brings both color and a rich, aromatic smokiness to dishes.
